About me

I'm married (for the second time) and have two grown-up sons of whom I am inordinately proud.  I love being creative - I began drawing and embroidery as a child, moved on to needlecrafts, and finished up with papercrafts. I also love music, and love to sing - although nobody else enjoys hearing me!
Another life-long love has been the love of cats. I like most animals (although I draw the line at birds) but I LOVE cats. I am presently owned by a lilac Persian queen named Mystique. She loves to "help" when I'm crafting, or at least supervise - I'm not allowed to do any crafting without her as, in her opinion, I'll make a dog's breakfast of the whole rigmarole unless she keeps an eye on me.  She may be right, at that!
Mystique - Craft Supervisor
I met my husband at a Star Trek convention and I adore Sci-Fi, especially Trek and Smallville.   I' m also  a fan of The Vampire Diaries and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Warehouse 13.  After a number of years away from the convention scene, my husband is talking about getting back into cosplay (dressing up to normal people!) and our Stempunk Alter Egos, Major Sir Thomas Felix and Lady Ermintrude (Trudy) Duffryn-Felix may be making an appearance soon!

We live by the sea - I can see the Bristol Channel from my living room window and enjoy watching the ships come in and out of Swansea docks.  The sea and cats aften feature in my creations. Digital scrapbooking is another one of my loves - and if you want to take a look please follow the link from this blog.

I'm a sporadic blogger so forgive me if I don't update this blog very often - sometimes life gets in the way.

If you would like to contact me, you can email me at mystismum@gmail.com
